GP Lawnmowers

GP Lawnmowers was started in 1978 by Gert and Julie Venter in a small rented space in Lindhaven, Roodepoort. Initially the focus was mainly on repairs and spares of lawnmowers.

Soon the company grew into a retailer of lawnmowers and other related power products, giving the customer a unique solution in not just selling machine’s, but also the supply of spares and servicing of machinery to the end user.

In 1994 GP Lawnmowers moved to its own property on Voortrekker road in Krugersdorp. In 2007 the building underwent extensive alterations adding a second floor and creating additional space for a growing business.

In 2008 an adjoining property in Kloof Street was bought to allow further growth. Currently GP Lawnmowers employs 29 people, from all different backgrounds and races, ranging from salesmen to repair technicians.

Most of our repair technicians are trained in-house, with added training courses offered by our suppliers, giving ordinary people skills which can sustain them for life.
