A braai is something that can’t really be done badly. Any traditional braai is good – and the only thing you can possibly hope to do is make it slightly better.
You’ll find a hundred “new takes” or “different angles” on traditional braai food plastered over the internet. But we’re pretty happy with the old favourites staying the way they are.
Here’s our take on a non-traditional braai:
These are the weirdest takes on braais (or, grills, really) that we could find. You probably won’t find these at your local hardware store, but don’t you think it’s time that we start braaing in style?
This braai by the German design studio Metallwerk Zurich AG looks just as the name suggests.
Barcelona’s MRMLD STUDIO brings us the Druida. How trendy is this? South African braai designers need to take notes.
French-based Focus brings that typical French design style with their Diagofocus.
If you’re going to have a cool-looking braai, you should make the outdoor entertainment space just as fun.
These excellent wood storage installations from Parker and Coop might be British, but you can be sure that South Africans know how to put them to their best use.
Both of these are great inspirations to make the most out of a smaller garden so that you can still host epic braais.
