The December holidays are always a bit weird for us here in the Rainbow Nation. We are inundated with the trappings of a Northern Hemisphere festive season: ice and snow, scarves and mittens, gluhwein and other spicy flavours. There’s nothing wrong with celebrating the way those on the cold side of the globe are used to, but it is also fantastic to enjoy local flavours and drinks.
