Add some Stijl to your furniture

This year, Cape Town HOMEMAKERS Expo exhibitor, STIJL DESIGN will be showcasing their beautiful furniture designs in INTERIOR spaces.

Coming from a well-know interior and manufacturing background, company Director, Eugene Smit started STIJL DESIGN in 2017. The company began because of his love of beautiful interior spaces. What makes STIJL DESIGN stand out is that they are the first company to be an importer of a world leading furniture designer as well as a manufacturing company.

Steady and Strong

Eugene’s favourite furniture piece from the current range is the PRAGUE 3 seater sofa. “It is a steady and strong built couch with ASH wood on the sides that give it that fascinating retro look. It just has attitude,” says Eugene. He adds that a home can not do without a good couch and a good cup of coffee.

Stijl Design

The inspiration for STIJL DESIGN pieces comes from “looking at others design and improving on quality…” says Eugene. He says the biggest trend at the moment is simplicity and bright colours. According to Eugene, Raw Comfort can be anything from making a pallet bench to minimalist furniture with untreated wood finishes. “It’s authentic and has no makeup on it,” says Eugene.

Eugene advises homeowners who are looking to redecorate or renovate to “buy quality , don’t skimp on finishes and find decent suppliers.”
