Tips for a great Homemakers Fair-day
Let’s set the scene:
It is that time of the year again. We are excitedly counting down the days until the Homemakers Fair! The 2025 Homemakers Fair will take place from Friday, 28 February until Sunday, the 2 March. This weekend is the highlight of our calendar and we look forward to engaging with all our loyal homemakers.
As always, the Homemakers Fair will be fully packed with exhibitors showcasing the very best home and décor inspirations and installations.
This year we have 300+ exhibitors who are thrilled to share their products, know how and skills with you.
To make the most of your visit, we have a few Top Tips for you:
Buy your tickets beforehand
While there are tickets on sale on the day, you can skip the queues by buying your entry and parking tickets online beforehand.
Plan your day.
Are you here to browse and take it all in? (Great idea!) Or are you looking for a specific thing? We suggest you create a Wishlist of products and services you want to research and invest in, and plan your day accordingly. The venue is big, with different sections dedicated to different categories of homemaking.
Get your hands on a floorplan and schedule (available at the door).
Check your footwear
This is a BIG event. We take up four whole exhibition halls, and to make the most of your day, we suggest you prepare for a bit of walking. While there is a shuttle service running from the parking areas to the entrance of the Fair, inside, you’ll be reliant on your own feet. (Don’t worry – we are preparing for tired feet with ample seating dotted around the convention centre…)
For mobility challenged visitors, the fair is completely wheelchair friendly with broad walkways and ramps and elevators servicing every level.
Don’t forget to spoil yourself.
Homemaking is hungry business, so we have once again enlisted some of the most delicious Mzansi Food Trucks in the business to keep you fed and fuelled for the day. From authentic Mediterranean and Asian food to lekker local shisanyama style street food, there is something for everyone. Come hungry and fill up at the Gourmet Alley. Oh – and don’t forget the coffee!
Prepare for freebies!
Our exhibitors love you homemakers almost as much as we do – come early and you’ll be able to get your hands on any number of freebies, samples and information packets to make your decisions easier.
