In recent years, decorators and designers have started experimenting with wallpaper’s look and feel in many shapes and forms. From sensory textures and geometric patterns to old school shabby chic floral revivals and monochrome madness – the options are endless. You can literally choose anything you like and have it printed as wallpaper these days. We share our favourite wallpaper ideas for your home. 

Florals and Geometrics

Florals are still huge this year. Dark, gothic florals, in particular, have made quite an impression on the design world. Floral-type prints work well in opulent dining rooms and brighter florals have been spotted globally in trendy and vibrant kitchens.

Jungle Fever

Wallpaper prints in dark green foliage is still a top trend to look out for. It works great in bathrooms and surprisingly well in studies surrounded by elegant leather furniture and sharp metals. Large, illustrative leaves with dark outlines are our favourite at the moment.

Tapestries

Tapestry-inspired designs are a perfect focal point for a room. According to wallpaper gurus Cole & Son’s creative director Carley Bean tapestry-like wallpapers are often inspired by idyllic landscapes, they bring the beautiful colours of the outdoors inside of the home. Its muted palette of greens, blues and neutrals can provide the colour inspiration and texture of the entire room. 

Monochrome

Black and white is a classic combination to create depth and expansion. From its sophisticated feel and minimalist undertones, monochrome–inspired rooms are always a delight for the eye. Monochrome designs allow you to play around with abstract designs and busy patterns.  

Bright flashes of colour paired with monochromatic wallpapers add the oomph to bring your room together.
