DIY Project with Vermont Sales
Serial DIYers never get bored. There is always something to do, in fact, their problem is the opposite – not enough time to finish all those WIPs (work in progress). Vermont Sales shares their favourite DIY project for the month.
One of the serious side effects of serial DIYers is obsessive-compulsive tool acquisition. It starts off with the basic stuff, a hammer, a circular saw, an edge bander. But before you know it you’ve accumulated equipment valued the same as the annual GDP of a Caribbean island. Not to mention all the other “essential” materials such as wood, screws and every sort of fitting.
“As a kid I loved tools and in those days tools were mostly hand tools, and most fathers kept them locked up and rightly so. I do the same myself today,” says Digby Wesson from Vermont Sales. Another side effect of Serial DIYing is, let’s call a spade a spade, is hoarding. “I also don’t throw anything away, be it wood, steel or anything that could possibly be used, or made into something,” says Digby.
Our DIYers biggest regret during this time is that they did not stockpile more
