Healing Recipes To Sip Your Way To A Super Summer.
(And to fight off the last seasonal head cold!)
You’ve heard about the juice cleanse, and the cayenne pepper diet (drinking nothing but water with cayenne pepper and maple syrup for a week). What about the various herbal tea remedies promising a better, slimmer, happier and healthier you? They are all rubbish! If not downright dangerous and unhealthy.
We have come up with a couple of actual healing recipes to oppose those extreme liquid diets.
We have one soup, one smoothie and one tea that you can incorporate into your normal weekly meal plan. And we promise you’ll reap real, comforting, and delicious benefits from each of them.

Healing Recipe 2:
Super quick happy gut smoothie
By upping your fibre intake and making sure you get the right pro-biotic balance, you can easily maintain a happy digestive tract without raiding the medicine cabinet.
A happy gut relies on lots of fruit and veggies, some natural probiotics like honey and fermented food like yoghurt or even kefir or skyr.
A fruit smoothie, without any added sugar, is the best way to get all the good stuff in one healing recipe.
Try one with:
- Full fat yoghurt
- Berries
- Mango or apple
- Honey
- Almond or oat milk.
The magic of a smoothie is that anything goes. Add your favourite ingredients and mix it up depending on what is in season.

Healing Recipe 3:
Sleepytime tea
For a homemade bedtime tea, we suggest s simple blend of good old-fashioned South African Rooibos, Chamomile, and a hint of vanilla essence.
Calcium promotes sleep, so you can even brew a strong batch of tea, and then make a “latte” by adding a shot of it to a mug of warm full cream milk. Add honey, if you have to, but skip the sugar in this healing recipe.
